Clifford Tretick - Flutist, Flute Maker and Repair of Fine Custom Flutes

Clifford Tretick is a distinguished and internationally renowned flutist and flute maker.  As a flutist, his performance activities include recitals, solo engagements and giving master classes.  Mr. Tretick was a winner of the prestigious Young Artist Competition from the National Flute Association, received a Master Fellowship grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and was a Visiting Artist in Residence in North Carolina.  His principal flute studies were at the Oberlin College Conservatory with Robert Willoughby, the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with Philip Dunigan and Albert Tipton at the Aspen Music Festival.

Clifford Tretick is professionally known as a highly skilled flute maker with his specialty being that of a finisher and repairer of fine custom handmade flutes.  As a Master Craftsman, he was a senior finisher for the prestigious Brannen Brothers Flute Makers in Boston, MA.  While there, he finished flutes for many of the world's most noted players. He left Brannen Brothers in 1998 to pursue his own flute finishing and repair business and quickly attracted an extensive clientele of flutists from all over the world.  These flutists range from the most famous soloists and teachers to enthusiastic amateurs.

Clifford is an avid equestrian who enjoys riding his beautiful pure Polish/Russian Arabian horse named Quincy.
